Medieval strap end Se-26

kr240.00

This model is based on a find from Gudhems monastery in Västergötland. Although the size and shape closely resemble the original, we have chosen to make it slightly tapered to facilitate adaptation to different widths of leather. Additionally, we have  a different pattern in the center to add a unique touch. The original is now housed at the Historical Museum in Stockholm.

The strap end is crafted from bronze and fits on a belt that is at least 19 mm wide. It’s not a problem if the buckles are wider, as it’s perfectly fine to narrow the leather at the end of the belt. Up to 30 mm width is acceptable. The strap end is easily attached using the rivets on the back. To attach it to the leather, make a hole with an awl, push the pins through, and bend them on the back.
