Medieval strap end Se-34

kr290.00

This wide strap end is based on a find from England, late 14th century or early 15th century. We have based it on two finds. A picture of one of the originals and additional information can be found at http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/showrecords.php?product=3926. It is broken at the bottom.

Another similar strap end can be seen at http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/showrecords.php?product=17792 and has the bottom part of this model. There are also several similar finds from the same period.

The strap end is made of bronze and fits on a belt that is at least 26 mm wide. It’s no problem if the buckle is wider as it’s possible to narrow the leather at the end of the belt. Up to 40 mm width is fine. The important thing is that the leather is at least 26 mm wide for the strap end to be attached.

Dimensions 46 × 23 mm
